Is there any workflow to generate automatically from a Visual Studio SQL Server Database Project?
Our authoritative database schema for any version is kept in version control, alongside other code for the same version, as Database Project files. We also generate a .DACPAC/snapshot whenever we want to push database schema into our POCOs for eventual publication. I would be nice to use one of these authoritative, version-controlled sources directly as the metadata to generate POCO. Things get a little more error-prone when round-tripping generation through actual database instances.
I know that VS visualizes a Database Project and SQL Server Database connection similarly. I don't know if behind the scenes there's some common metadata acquisition call you could or do leverage, but I thought it was a possibility.
